Miss Girl.

It's sad how girls are always told,
To wear, cover, and hold,
Never once has it been said,
To wear whatever she dreams of.

It's sad how every girl in this world,
Has once looked behind her,
While walking not feeling secure,
Walking as fast as she could.

Nobody ever told her,
She's beautiful without that mascara,
That she has more to her mind,
Then to what she has to cover.

She has to listen to things,
She doesn't deserve to hear,
She has to be through things,
She doesn't deserve to be in.

A girl may look like a privilege,
A girl may seem like a paradise,
Ask her for how long has she loved herself truly,
She will give you the longest pause ever.

Ask why?
Because its sad how girls are always told,
To not be bothered by hate,
It's sad how girls are always,
"Told" things and not "asked".

Her opinion matters,
She isn't aware of her voice,
She has been silenced all these times,
She now hesitates somewhere.

Not one person can bring about a change,
It needs a million efforts,
But one person can lend one effort,
And there will be a million changes.

I want to give her wings,
I want to show her, her voice,
To that child in her,
I want to see her fly among pride.

If anything, She's everything,
To any and every fighting girl out there,
Who needs an epiphany,
Look in a mirror.

The girl looking back at you,
Is a thousand times stronger,
The girl looking back at you,
Is you but prouder.

Hold her hand,
Listen to her voice,
Let her wear whatever she wants,
And watch her fly.

Now that, is a prestige, Miss Girl.
