WHY THIS BLOG?
I chose writing on self-love, inspiration, empowerment, and love overall because I believe that someone out there who needs to hear words of assurance would be able to reach them through my blogs. I know many other amazing blogs and bloggers are working on the same issue. I am a budding blogger so let's trust the steady progress. I needed such a blog to read when I started my self-love journey, so I hope this blog reaches the right people.
I read a quote somewhere that said, 'treat yourself like someone you love,' and this changed my entire perspective of viewing myself. I have had my part of a bitter past about my body, which made me think I was never enough to fit in this society. As a girl, we are told a dozen things that 95 percent of the time do not make sense; hence, I wanted my own place on the web where I could share my thoughts with people and instill positivity as much as I could.
I made many mistakes throughout my journey, but through this blog, I want other young minds and minds lost in reality to sponge in a little motivation. Therefore, I chose this blog as a starting stepping stone to my journey of content writing.
THINGS I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO.
Right now, I'm a college student gearing up for the next big chapter: my career. Content writing has been my side hustle, dabbling in platforms like Blogger and Medium. I've also pitched in on loads of editorial club activities at college. It's all part of the journey toward finding my groove professionally. Writing's my escape, but I'm not sure if I want my whole career to revolve around it. It's a bit of a mental seesaw, but I'm staying positive and open to whatever comes my way. Internships have been eye-opening, and while I'm not sure what's next, I'm ready for the adventure. That's just life, right? :)
WHAT DOES THE BLOG'S NAME MEAN?
If you Google what a "reverie" means, it will show you something like this:
'A state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.'
And this is exactly what I wanted my blog to be about. You could relate my words to your daydreams, a place where you can relate to some things you have been through. We have all daydreamed about things like our self-love journey, first crushes, having a solo trip, and our love life, and we have spent a lot of time trying to figure ourselves out as we grew up. So, Her Reveries is where you could read a few articles, reminisce about all the good times, and continue your day while taking along the positivity with you.
I have been given a lot of nicknames, one of which is 'sanss' as an abbreviation for 'Sanchali', which is my name. In my eyes, 'sanss' was going along great with the blog name; hence, I decided to keep it like, reveries of sanss.
There you have it, the reason behind the name of my blog!
Love,
Sanchali <3
